This is a high-volume, weekend-driven role requiring flexible availability to work weekends. P&L and multi-unit experience are essential. What you'll do: The GM will oversee all operations across multiple venues, including catering, enhancing guest experience, operational efficiency, and financial performance. Responsibilities include managing daily operations, catering, client relations, financial oversight, strategic planning, and team development. Key Responsibilities: Guest Satisfaction: Ensure an extraordinary dining experience, addressing guest inquiries and feedback promptly, including catering events. Serve as the main contact for VIP guests and high-profile catering events, ensuring personalized experiences. Meet guest expectations in catering and retail operations through exceptional service and quality food. Operational Excellence: Oversee all operational aspects, including Front-of-House, Back-of-House, and catering, ensuring timely service and quality standards. Establish and enforce SOPs for dining and catering operations to promote efficiency and safety. Lead initiatives to improve operational workflows, especially in catering, to maximize service and minimize costs. Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and support management teams, fostering a high-performance, accountable culture. Oversee recruitment, training, and development, ensuring alignment with standards and goals. Conduct performance reviews, set goals, and support career growth for catering and retail teams. Financial Oversight: Manage financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control for operations and catering. Oversee inventory, food, beverage, labor, and catering costs to ensure profitability. Analyze financial data to identify improvement areas and strategies to maximize profitability without compromising quality. Strategic Planning & Brand Alignment: Collaborate on long-term growth, sustainability, and guest experience strategies, including catering. Support initiatives aligned with NYBG’s mission, emphasizing eco-conscious, plant-forward dining. Drive innovation in services, menus, and guest engagement to keep the brand relevant. Performance and Quality Monitoring: Review guest feedback, operational data, and team performance to identify improvements. Implement data-driven strategies to enhance service quality and guest satisfaction, including catering-specific metrics. Conduct site inspections to ensure adherence to policies, safety, and standards. Skills and Qualifications: Proven experience as a General Manager or senior leader in a multi-unit, high-volume operation, including catering. Extensive experience in luxury dining or hospitality, overseeing F&B and catering. Strong leadership, team-building, and conflict resolution skills. Exceptional financial skills, managing budgets, costs, and financials for catering. Excellent communication and client relationship skills, especially with high-profile clients. Strategic thinking, problem-solving, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred. Flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays; off-peak Wednesday-Sunday, peak season Tuesday-Saturday.
